What is a Xyron Sticker Maker Machine?

I have referenced my Xyron machine in almost every project that I have worked on, so I thought that I would share a little more about these wonderful machines.

First of all, I would like to explain what a Xyron machine does and how it works. The Xyron will apply adhesive to the entire back of any flat embellishment that you roll though the machine. You simply place your embellishment onto the starting area of the Xyron and then turn a handle on the side of the machine that rolls the embellishment though the machine and it comes out on the other side covered with adhesive. The top of your embellishment stays adhesive free. Then you simple peel the object you sent through from the paper backing and place your newly created "sticker" wherever you plan on using it.

One of my favorite things about the Xyron is that it does not require any electricity, batteries or heat. This makes it easy to take to a friend's house for a crop or move it around the house depending on where I am working. It is also safe and easy enough for my five-year-old daughter to use. She loves using my smaller Xyron 250 machine to create stickers out of her artwork.

Some of my favorite things to send through the Xyron are ribbon, die cuts and chipboard shapes. I have had to force the handle a bit when doing chipboard shapes, but it has not seemed to cause any stress to the machine. Clear plastic type alphabets, shapes and frames also work well because the adhesive does not show through. I also like to run journaling done on vellum through the machine when I don't want to attach the vellum with brads, eyelets, staples, etc.

Hope that you can enjoy using the Xyron machine as much as I do.

Happy sticker making!
