Nicole: I've followed Stampin' Up! for years. I absolutely love their images and their scrapbook stuff is cool too. The last time I noticed, I saw that Stampin' Up! has grown a lot in the past couple of years and made many amazing changes. I know that new products have been offered and incentives have been made available. Can you tell us a little more about that? Kimberlee: Stampin' Up! is always coming out with exciting products and designs and promotions throughout the year. This year was started with a new career plan. The old one was just slightly tweaked. Enough for me to be personally challenged to change my hobby into a business. I have found it more rewarding when I reach my goals, especially since I'm reaching them more consistently. Nicole: And how much does it cost to become a Stampin' Up Consultant? How much does a start up kit cost? What does the start up kit include? Kimberlee: Our kit costs $199 and would originally cost $355 to purchase everything separately. The base kit consists of: 6 classic ink pads, with the option of choosing the colors, 2 packages of assorted 8.5x11 cardstock, your choice of color families, 1 package of 8.5x11 neutral cardstock, 6 different stamp sets, option to specify, package of 3 blender pens, Stampin' around handle, wheel (option to specify), ink cartridge, Stampin' scrub and cleaner, craft scissors, pastels, Versamark ink pad, Monoadhesive, catalogs, mini catalogs, various business forms, demonstrator manual, invitations, recruit brochures and folders, inspiration sheets, DVDs to share with interested customers. You can also opt for the Stampin' memories add on which is an extra $50.00 and consists of: Alphabet set of your choice, Craft ink pad of your color choice, Journaler, Simply scrappin kit of your choice, 6x6 linen brag book, 12x12 assorted cardstock, your choice of color family, package of book kits. Nicole: Wow Kimberlee. That is a lot of product and business helpers. Stampin' Up! takes good care of their consultants! Are Stampin' Up! reps required to carry inventory or always have some product on hand? Kimberlee: No, we are not. More of this article available in the scrapbooking section here at families.com.
