Spring Clean Your Scrapbook Space

Have you seen the viral video featuring the woman who lives in a 90-square-foot studio in Manhattan? Sure, it’s located across from Lincoln Center and a block from Central Park, but the place is smaller than most suburban bedroom closets. Lucky for her, she’s a professional organizer and her dad’s a bankruptcy attorney, so she knows how to make do with few things, and the items she does have are perfectly placed throughout the tiny apartment. Her story got me thinking about spring cleaning my scrapbook space. Sadly, my little scrapbooking nook is about the same size as the woman’s … Continue reading

Overhaul Your Scrapbook Space

Part of my New Year’s ritual is to purge my home of unwanted and unnecessary goods. I’m not big into New Year’s resolutions, but this annual pre-spring cleaning ceremony comes pretty close to the formal promises people make at the beginning of a new year. I take one room or fraction of a room at a time. The process takes a few weeks, but by the time I am done my home is much more organized. Currently, I am working on overhauling my scrapbooking space. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to organize your space. After … Continue reading

Scrapbooking Week in Review for April 1-6, 2008 with a Few Extras

I don’t know what it was like for you in your neck of the woods this past weekend, but our area was absolutely beautiful and was the closest resemblance to Spring that we’ve had since last year. We got some flowers planted, grass seed poured and enjoyed the outdoors as much as we could. Days like those are hard to find to scrapbook, because you want to enjoy the weather, but you can always do it at night or early in the morning. Remember to make time for it, while still enjoying the beautiful weather. Here is what has been … Continue reading

Getting Ready for Spring in Your Scrapbooking

The official first day of Spring is in just three short days. And Easter is this upcoming weekend. It seems as if Winter just flew by, even with all the cold weather and snow and ice everyone has been getting. Since it still doesn’t feel too much like spring time around here, I thought I would get everyone in the mood for those terrific Spring photo opportunities and scrapbooking pages. Spring Cleaning – Spring seems to bring everyone out of the cobwebs and caves and puts many in the mood to do some spring cleaning. But do not forget to … Continue reading

Scrapbooking Week In Review for April 9th to April 15th

The scrapbooking blog has one purpose, and that is to help you preserve your memories in the best way possible. This past week was no different as we took a look at many different aspects of scrapbooking. I tried to focus on a more budget friendly scrapbooking experience. Monday April 9th Monday kicked off with What Are You Forgetting To Photograph In Your Child’s Life, which was a reminder to what is important to document, and what maybe you have forgotten to capture on film. Sometimes we overlook simple moments. Tuesday April 10th In How To Use A Light Box … Continue reading

Spring Cleaning Your Scrapbook Supplies

It’s Spring and that means it is time for cleaning. There are two reasons I chose to write about spring cleaning your scrapbook area. The first, of course, is that spring has officially arrived and it is time to get moving on some spring cleaning around your home. The second reason, is because with all garage sale articles I have been writing, over in frugal living, I wanted to spring clean my scrapbook area as well, to make it neat and organized (and to make room for more stuff!). Spring Cleaning your scrapbook area can be as easy as just … Continue reading

Summer Organizing

I get the concept behind spring cleaning, but in my world, summer is primetime for purging. I’ve been trying to reorganize and deep clean my scrapbooking space for months; however, I simply haven’t had the time to undertake such a monumental task. Which is not to say that I have this humungous crafting space to create all my scrapbook masterpieces. Rather, I’m just a slob. If you’ve been dreading the idea of organizing your scrapbooking area, there’s no time like the present to get it done. Let summer’s extra long days inspire you to open your windows, dump out the … Continue reading
