Saturday Layout Challenge - Ink It Up

Stamping ink is such a versatile embellishment. It can add color, mute color or simply distress something to make it look more aged or worn. Paint is the same way. It can be used in so many ways on your scrapbook layouts.

Todays challenge is to get creative with stamping ink or some paint. Use a lot of it. Not just a little swipe or dab, nope LOTS and LOTS! There needs to be tons of color or if you don't want a lot of color than just use one color a lot. It doesn't matter what type of paint - acrylic, watercolor, etc. Or you can use stamping ink - again doesn't matter what kind or how it is used. You can even mix and match the paint and ink, just be sure to allow it to dry so it doesn't blend together (unless that is the look you are going for).

Randomly stamp images with the ink, randomly place the ink, swipe the ink or paint, dot them, swirl them, use your brayer to add one or both, just use lots of paint or ink. I am really excited to see the results. It is like collage only with a liquid substance, so go to town and think outside the box!

Why do I do these challenges:

I am doing the weekly layout challenge for several reasons. One, I want you to get your photographs out of storage devices and onto your layouts, and two I want to help you brainstorm ideas, as well as use up your stash of supplies.
