Stamping ink is such a versatile embellishment. It can add color, mute color or simply distress something to make it look more aged or worn. Paint is the same way. It can be used in so many ways on your scrapbook layouts. Todays challenge is to get creative with stamping ink or some paint. Use a lot of it. Not just a little swipe or dab, nope LOTS and LOTS! There needs to be tons of color or if you don’t want a lot of color than just use one color a lot. It doesn’t matter what type of paint … Continue reading

Saturday Layout Challenge – Update an Old Layout

Have you ever look back in your scrapbooks and found a layout that you couldn’t believe you made. Perhaps it was one of those “What was I thinking?” moments, or perhaps you really don’t care what your earlier layouts look like. It certainly does show a growth. Either way, it can be fun to go back and update an old layout. It really is not that hard to update a previous layout either. Saturday Layout Challenge: Bad Habits

It’s Saturday again, and you know what that means? Time for another fun and creative scrapbook challenge. I have been busily making a great list of ideas for upcoming challenges so be sure and check in often. Also, remember that the scrapbook challenges often make great additions to an All About Me album, so start creating and save those layouts so that your family has an album all about you, just as you have so lovingly created an album all about them. Saturday Layout Challenge: The Hard Times

It has returned to the scrapbooking blog. The scrapbooking layout challenges have been resurrected from the dark side and brought back into the light. They have been changed to be offered on Saturday instead of the original Monday’s that we were doing before. The reason for this change is because many scrapbookers really only get to create their layouts and find their special time to scrapbook on the weekends. It seemed that this would be an easier day to put the scrapbooking layout challenges up. I will also be moving past challenges over to the Inspiration section of the blog. … Continue reading

Scrapbooking Week in Review For April 14-20, 2008

With the sunshine replacing many of the rainy days we have been having, I have been trying to enjoy the weather whenever I can. This means I don’t have as much time to scrapbook, but it does mean I have a bit more time to write as I bring my laptop to the park or wherever I am planning on going. This is what I wrote while I was out and about this week. Adding a Bit of Flair on Layouts With Chalk Chalks, also known as pastels are so much fun to use on your scrapbook layouts. The vast … Continue reading
