With the new year just around the corner, it is time to start thinking about organizing and finding the right planner that will keep you on schedule and have things in order for the year to come.

I have just come across a planner with a lot of creative potential called MyBook - The Adaptable Planner. This planner comes with the space for one week of planning on each 2-page layout. One side has the dates and lines for notes the opposite page is left blank for you to have a place to include a photo or memorabilia from that week.

Each month also has one ruled page that could be used for journal entries or important tasks that need to be completed that month. You also get one photo pocket for each month where your can gather photos, receipts, or memorabilia.

The MyBook comes in two different sizes: 4 X 6 and 6 X 8. I like that both sizes are compact enough to fit into a purse or bag so that it could always be with me.

My favorite thing about this planner is that you can customize it to meet your needs. There are so many possibilities. I'm thinking about using one as a gift for a friend who is having a baby in January. She could then use it as a journal for the baby's first year. You could use it as a traditional planner or a journal.

If you are looking for many inspiring ideas on using the MyBook, you may want to consider taking The Twelve Days of Christmas with MyBook class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. This class includes one 4 X 6 planner and new ideas on altering the planner on each of the 12 days of Christmas.

The planner could be just what you need to stay organized and inspired in the New Year!
