Scrapbooking to Overcome Christmas Stress

Recently, I got myself involved in this huge project. I decided to make 75 ornaments for a church Christmas party that I am in charge of this week. It has been a lot of work being in charge of a party for 150 people. I have never done anything like this before. The stress of it is pretty overwhelming. Combine that with my regular holiday stress of shopping, five Christmas parties to attend, and family coming into town, I was feeling really stressed out, and a little like the Grinch. I wanted to get rid of Christmas. The ornaments were … Continue reading

The Most Simple Scrapbook Series-Arranging Your Photos on a Page

There are so many ways to arrange the photos on the page. But, sometimes, this is part of what is the most intimidating to beginning scrappers. First, you have to decide what look you are going for. How many pictures do YOU like on a page? After all, this album is for you. You may decide that some photos are too special to share with other photos on the same page, and there might be other photos that you don’t love as much and would like to just throw in there for memory’s sake. When placing them on the page, … Continue reading

Displaying Your Scrapbook Albums

It is always interesting to me to hear the different ways that scrapbookers organize and display their scrapbooking albums. There are so many different outlooks on the way that they should be displayed, and many different ways that scrapbookers do display their albums. It always surprises me when scrapbookers don’t have a method for displaying their albums. After all that hard work, it should be a given that you would want to show them off. Even if they aren’t completed. Allowing friends and family to enjoy even a half-way finished project is better than stowing the album away in some … Continue reading

Black and White Photographs

Some people love black and white photography and some people dislike it. Some scrapbookers use black and white photographs on their scrapbook layouts and some would never even dream of it. With the full color vibrancy of today’s photographs, why do some people still choose to take and use black and white photographs on a layout? Black and white photographs are literally timeless. When color is gone from a photograph, the focus remains on the subject and it doesn’t matter what colors are used to create a layout. It doesn’t matter that the child might have been wearing a mismatched … Continue reading

With the sunshine replacing many of the rainy days we have been having, I have been trying to enjoy the weather whenever I can.
