The Shoe Box

Today I’m sitting in my customary location (in front of a computer screen at my desk covered in half-read books in preparation for my qualifying exams) and every so often I shift my body to see around the screen. I’m not certain about what I truly expect to find beyond the screen. Could he be eating another highlighter? Might he be trying to dig into the garbage again? Has he found something of questionable edibility to consume from the floor? All of these possibilities are likely (especially when he’s being quiet) but none of them are correct today. Today our … Continue reading

Summer has finally arrived. The humidity level in the Midwest has made it difficult to enjoy being outdoors during the main daylight hours, so I have tried to play catch up on some scrapbooking. We have also had plenty of events lately that have called for some handmade cards so I have been busy churning those out as well. I will be sharing the How To directions for those in the upcoming week. In the meantime, catch up on some reading in case you missed these in the Scrapbooking Blog this week. How Do I Find Time To Scrapbook? School’s … Continue reading

What Does Light do for Your Body?

Natural light isn’t just good for maintaining your circadian rhythms. The right amount of light at the right time of day can do amazing things for your body! Light helps you wake up. If you have to wake up before the sun is up, try putting a compact fluorescent bulb in your bedside lamp. (Look for bulbs marked daylight or 6500K.) The color range of this … Continue reading

How To Use A Light Box For Scrapbooking

Light boxes are a really handy and fun tool to use in scrapbooking. Although they have been around a really long time in the crafting world, many scrapbookers are unfamiliar with a light box and aren’t sure what it is or how it can help them with scrapbooking.
