Getting on a Scrapbook Design Team

So many of us, after we have been scrapping for years, want to get on a design team for a blog or website. This is not always easy. The benefit to many design teams is that you get free kits, or scrapbooking supplies to keep promoting certain products for the website. Each design team call has a lot of rules, and usually, a lot of submissions. Often times, they are looking for someone who can itemize ever product on their scrapbook layout and where it came from. This is something I’ve always struggled with. Once I open something, I often … Continue reading

Scrapbooking Your Way Through History: Introduction and Materials You Need

This is our latest pet project and I must say that it has worked substantially better for me than has lapbooking. One reason is that everything goes into a binder. At our house, this makes it much easier to store and less inviting for the twin demolition team. Another reason is that the project is not dependent on a bunch of little books–which I find difficult to store without someone getting into them before the project is over. Since it’s a binder, we actually plan to add at least one page per time period, or people group that we study, … Continue reading

Not Enough “E”s

One pet peeve of mine is that when I buy a set of Alphabet stickers, there simply aren’t enough of the letter E. I am frequently searching through my stash of alphabets hoping to just find one letter E in any font. I mix and match my alphabets a lot so, is is not really a problem for me to use a letter from a different set of Alphas in my layout. But, in the same way I have a problem with not enough “E”s, I have a problem with too many of the letters Z, X, and Q. Who … Continue reading
