Free Scrapbooking Quotes

The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I believe that having meaningful words can only enhance the photos on your layout. Most of the time I just use my own words on my layouts, but there are times when a quote from someone else will help me to convey what I want to say even better than my own words.

I would like to share some of my favorite places to look online to find meaningful quotes to use include on my layouts. Quotes are also a perfect addition to any card that you make.

Most of the sites have the quotes divided into categories such as baby, family, fathers, wedding, etc. This makes it easy to find what you are looking for. When looking for a specific quote on a subject, remember that it may fit into more than one category. For example, if I was going a layout on my two daughters, I could look under sisters, family and friends for an appropriate quote.

Here are a few of my favorite sites:

Simple Scrapbooks. They have just added a new online resource for quotes to their website. They say that they will be adding more quotes weekly, so check back often! Their selection is still small, but I'm sure that it will grow quickly.

Scrapbook.com. With almost 150 categories, you are sure to be able to find something that applies to your layout. In addition to standard categories, they also have some inventive one such as Fairies, Exercise, Eating, Kindergarten and Sunsets.

Quote Mountain. They have a special section of quotes that are perfect for scrapbookers (scroll down to number 17 on the category list.) They also have fun other quote sections such as Yoda Quotes (yes, from Star Wars) and Famous Movie Quotes.

ThinkExist.com. They offer hundreds of quotes with a nice search tool you can use to search on any topic that you need to look up.

Hopefully these quote sites will give you just what you need to add that special finishing touch to your layout. And who knows - maybe you will receive inspiration for a layout just by looking through the quotes.
