Nothing makes me happier than finding a way to make something out of nothing. Fifty pieces of plain chipboard to cut, 50 pieces of chipboard, slice one up; paste it in place, 49 pieces of chipboard to cut. Not exactly bottles of beer, but you get the picture. Whereas I am a huge advocate of repurposing leftover material to decorate my scrapbook layouts, I don’t go out of my way to embellish exclusively with environmentally-friendly products. To get me to “go green” my neighbor recently gifted me with a large stack of plain chipboard. The specialty scrapbook embellishment (very thick pressed cardboard paper) is made from recycled products. If you have ever had to clean candle wax off of couch cushions, then you are likely well skilled in the art of chipping. Or at least you should be. According to cleaning experts, you should never attempt to wipe hot wax off of fabrics, be it leather, silk or cotton. Rather, you should allow the wax to harden, and then carefully chip it off before treating any stain that remains.
