A Scrapbook for Everyone

My children aren't quite ready to move out but when they do I want to have a scrapbook dilemma solved. I would love to send them off with scrapbooks that they can keep and eventually pass on down to their children. The problem is if I give away all my scrapbooks to them, I will have nothing left.

I haven't quite arrived where I would like to be but a few years ago I started trying to solve that problem by creating multiple scrapbooks. Ideally you should have duplicates made of your pictures. The best way to go about this is to create two scrapbooks at one time. With your duplicate pictures and albums you can knock out two projects at one time and in the end, everyone has something to keep.

Now I realize that this might sound like an expensive idea. Initially it can be. But the way I look at it is this. I can spend the extra money now and the extra time it will take to create them or I can fret in the future about what I am going to do. I would love to have that sense of peace knowing that I am sending my child off with special keepsakes yet I have my own as well.

If you don't want to create exact copies of the scrapbooks, you can change things up. Perhaps one album is a different color. If you are really ambitious you can take the time to use the same pictures for each scrapbook but make them entirely unique. Of course, another idea is to spend your time creating scrapbooks that are for your children when they leave home and when they get older, assuming you have saved duplicate pictures, start working on your own set of scrapbooks. There are a number of ways this could be done and in the end; there will be a scrapbook for everyone.
